Peru’s president signs decree declaring “transgender” people “mentally ill”

Okay, make sure no one from Big Tech followed you here because I’m about to say some unapproved thoughts.

Ready?

I don’t know what’s going on in Peru, but I think this is amazing.

The president and health minister of Peru have decreed that trans people are mentally ill (or, in other words, what nearly everyone on the planet believed until less than a decade ago).

Don’t worry, I won’t forget to attach the Gigachad meme.

Under the decree signed by President Dina Boluarte, ‘transsexualism, dual-role transvestism, gender identity disorder in childhood, other gender identity disorders and fetishistic transvestism’ are now all recorded as mental illnesses.

America was told by our president that “Transgender Americans shape our Nation’s soul” literally days after a trans person shot up a Christian school. Meanwhile, Peru’s president is classifying transgenderism and transvestitism as mental illness.

Peru’s government argues the decree will make ‘psychological treatment’ freely available to those affected and said it ‘categorically reaffirms respect for the dignity of the person and their free actions within the framework of human rights, providing health services for their benefit’.

You call yourself a “trans woman” in Peru and you’re going to get mental help. That’s what we call caring, compassionate, and loving!
