Man’s Inhumanity to Man!

Hi

Man’s Inhumanity to Man!

To maintain the Christian faith, senior Christian leaders have lied, I mean really lied, and ordered their more senior scribes to forge their authenticity.   The Christian church became addicted to forgery as it counterfeited biblical manuscripts, documents, Church, and king’s charter.  Forgery brought vast landed property and wealth to an institution that preyed on the rich as well as the poor.  It has called for genocide, and murder of the innocent, as has been seen in the era of the crusades, and auto de fē, that saw probably millions die for God, or at lease in his name.  That has reverberated through time until now.  The slaughter was indiscriminate, with Jews as well as Muslims, seeing western Christian’s intolerance to any faith that was not a doctrine of Rome.  Put to the sword or worse, with the streets of Jerusalem in 1099 ankle deep in blood with the mass murder of its Semitic inhabitants.  In fact, European Jews were slaughtered in the tens of thousands, by the crusading mobs before the crusaders had left Europe for the so-called Holy Lands.   With each crusader given absolution for any crime committed, including the murder of men, women, and children.   It came in the form of plenary indulgence.

An indulgence, is a remission before God of the temporal punishment due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven.  Which the faithful Christian who is duly disposed gains under certain prescribed conditions through the action of the Church which, as the minister of redemption, dispenses and applies with authority the treasury of the satisfactions of Christ and the saints.  Issued by Pope Urban II (1088-1099) on all participants of the first crusade, 1096-1099.  Four-centuries later, a bigoted anti-Semitic German monk, nailed his 95 thesen/95 theses to the door of his church.  The original title of the thesis was Disputatio pro declaratione virtutis indulgentiarum, or Argument for a declaration of the virtue of indulgences.  Today, we see this action as the birth of Protestantism, dated as 31/10/1517.  Probably the only good thing that the bigoted monk did was his anti-stance against his pope charging people money for indulgences through agents of the Vatican.

From the 1930s-early 1940s, the Nazis used the works of this monk in their attack on Jews and anti-Nazi’s.  Any good this monk did was cancelled out by the Nazis, and the only good that came out of his name, Luther, was his wife, Kattarian (Katharina) Von Bora aka “die Lutherin/the Lutheran.”

Calvinism and Murder

“Whoever shall now contend that it is unjust to put heretics and blasphemers to death will knowingly and willingly incur their very guilt. This is not laid down on human authority; it is God who speaks and prescribes a perpetual rule for his Church. It is not in vain that he banishes all those human affections which soften our hearts; that he commands paternal love and all the benevolent feelings between brothers, relations, and friends to cease; in a word, that he almost deprives men of their nature in order that nothing may hinder their holy zeal. Why is so implacable a severity exacted, but that we may know that God is defrauded of his honour, unless the piety that is due to him be preferred to all human duties?  And that when his glory is to be asserted, humanity must be almost obliterated from our memories?   Many people have accused me of such ferocious cruelty that I would like to kill again the man I have destroyed. Not only am I indifferent to their comments, but I rejoice in the fact that they spit in my face.”John Calvin, Defence of Orthodox Faith against the Prodigious Errors of the Spaniard Michael Servetus, published in early 1554.

The Reformation was an ugly period, where merging Protestant leaders showed their true colours, and their so-called love of humanity.  Most of the early Protestant leaders hated and loathed their contemporaries.  Jehan Cauvin /John Calvin (1509-64) a French pastor was no different.  Who like Luther still find adherents today, worshipping the very ground they trod.  Both Luther and Calvin advocated murder at some point; however, it was only Calvin, we have written evidence to say that he committed and carried out such atrocities.

Calvin was guilty of the premeditated murder of the Spaniard, Michael Servetus (c. 1511-1553) a theologist and physician.  Evidence came from a letter Calvin wrote to William Farel on Feb. 13, 1546.  Calvin wrote: “If he [Servetus] comes [to Geneva], I shall never let him go out alive if my authority has weight.”

Calvin was also a blasphemer too!  Calvin was the only theologian during the Reformation who attributed evil to God (thereby insulting God).  He claimed all Satan’s actions are directed, not merely permitted, by God because no being, even Satan, supposedly has free will from God’s constant direction.

N.B. Andreas Vesalius/Andreas van Wesel (1514-1564), and Michael Servetus are recognized as the fathers of modern anatomy.

The clash of the two Catholicism against Protestantism came in the form of the Thirty-year War, 1618-1648.  This was probably was one of the longest and most destructive conflicts in European history.  Bloody and barbarous!  With 8 million casualties from death and disease, with civilians being the highest percentage of the total.  It was utter carnage, and if it was fought with today’s population, one can add another zero to the total.  Barbaric acts were done for their God and in his name!

Man’s inhumanity to man—From Man was Made to Mourn: A Dirge. Robert Burn 1785.

Man has certainly mourned the past two millennia, citing the bloody past of a religion.  That speaks of love on the one hand, and death and destruction of humankind on the other.  What do you say?
