Rapture theology, belief, creed, call it what you will, it is a very late doctrine, within Protestantism.

We have all supposedly read the Bible, or have we, as many devout Christians seem to reject the sayings of Jesus, and have no time to read quotes from the scriptures.  Preferring to believe the word of their paster, church elders or even worse, believing the beliefs of the early 19th-century inventor of the rapture, John Nelson Darby. That supposedly disagrees with what Jesus purportedly says in the Bible.  Dispensationalism is a Protestant 19th-cenury theology, that one finds is unique to the west. It originated in the nineteenth century in the teaching of, as aforesaid, John Nelson Darby and was popularized in the United States through the Bible Conference movement.  It is not a Catholic, or Orthodox theology!  For the first eighteen hundred years of church history, nobody believed in this rapture theology.  Only a minority of Protestants, sects of the more conservative, have embraced this early 1800s belief.
